Simpson Introduces Prairie French Doors

Eight New Door Designs Update Time-Honored Style for Today's Homes

MCCLEARY, Wash. - Homeowners and builders have long relied on French doors to lend elegance and refinement to homes. As today's home decor increasingly blends timeless styles with modern looks, homeowners and builders are looking for a fresh take on classic door designs to set homes apart.

Simpson Door Company is pleased to introduce eight new French door designs that combine the ageless look of classic French styles with modern wood door technology to complement today's homes and further expand options for a personalized look. The new designs range from simple configurations for clean lines to multiple glass lites for a more dramatic look.

Simpson Prairie French doors bring natural light to interior spaces and are also available for exterior applications to add just the right touch of craftsman design to contemporary homes.

"Homeowners and builders continue to seek doors that differentiate homes," says Brad Loveless, marketing manager for Simpson Door Company. "Our Prairie French designs offer the look of traditional wood French doors that a true craftsman would be proud of. Doors that you remember in your grandmother's house."

Simpson Prairie French doors are available in 1-3/8" and 1-3/4" thicknesses and can be specified in widths ranging from 2'6" to 3'6" and in heights of 6'8", 7'0" and 8'0". Matching sidelights are available in widths of 1'0", 1'2", 1'4", and 1'6". All door designs offer a choice of insulated or single glazing.

The doors are available in Douglas Fir, Western Hemlock, American Red Oak, maple and cherry, and can be ordered in virtually any wood species from Simpson's Custom Door Manufacturing Facility.

Simpson Door Company has been handcrafting some of America's finest wood doors since Henry McCleary first started his small wood door company in 1912. Today, the company offers a comprehensive line of exterior and interior stile and rail doors in a variety of wood species, and produces one-of-a-kind doors at its Custom Door Manufacturing Facility. Its strong tradition and current capabilities allow Simpson to create what are truly doors of a lifetime.
